I thank God for placing people in my life when I needed them. For awhile now I've been struggling with not feeling a sense of community. I have friends and family, but let's be real, family is family. You love each other no matter what, usually, but I can't just hang out with family. I also have some friends, but they were my husband's friends first. He's the outgoing type. Everyone loves him. So because of him we have wonderful new friends but I'm they are more his, and that's fine. I'll share. But I've wanted some that were just mine, not his, and who also shared a similar love of Christ. Tall bill, I know. Recently I found someone that loves God so much, and goes to my church. We talk, go on double dates, girl dates, the works. It's really nice to relate to someone, and I thank God for placing her in my life. Especially at the time he did. I really needed someone there for me during some things, talk me through them spiritually, and she did. And I hope to do the same for her. And then recently I decided to hit up my husband's cousin's wife. We have a lot in common and we've hung out before but hadn't fully pursued an independent friendship apart from our husbands. We went for coffee and brunch. Talked so long that we needed to eat again. To just connect to someone on so many levels, and to just hang out all day like old friends, it was a blessing. God knows I've been asking for friends, and after years of nothing I now have a few through my husband(joint custody), and 2 of my very own. I feel rich in love. I want to thank God for his goodness, and thank these special ladies. Pricilla, Amy, Kaitlyn, Patrice (order of years known lol), even though things can get hectic and time can pass where we may not talk or hang(mom life is tough) I love you ladies. Don't give up on me.
